In 2007, a master's degree was conferred from the Institute of Systematic Biology and Ecology, Faculty of Science, Masaryk University in Brno. The thesis focused on "Biology, development, and zoogeography of selected saproxylic groups of Oriental species in the family Stratiomyidae."
In 2014, a doctoral degree was awarded by the Institute of Animal Physiology and Immunology, Faculty of Science, Masaryk University in Brno. The dissertation centered on "New methods in the breeding of bumblebees."
